Ten Books I Would Recommend: a tag

LOVE READING BOOKS BUT NEED SOME NEW RECOMMENDATIONS?

THIS IS THE PERFECT POST FOR YOU!

Hello my lovelies ✨ how are you? what are you currently reading? I’d love to know!! (I NEED some new recommendations! I keep going into book slumps *cue the sad music*)

Today, I am doing a book tag !! I’m not to sure if someone has already done this (most likely) but I thought I’d share my top ten books and thought it would be a fun post for everyone to do ! Therefore, I made it a tag!

PLEASE please please if you decide to do this, tag me so I can read it !!

a quick note: literally most of these are straight up fantasy/dystopian novels, so if thats not your thing sorry !! but I am obsessed with fantasy (as I am sure you would know by now!)

Let’s jump in !!

  1. A Court of Mist and Fury by The Queen (Sarah J Maas)

Of course this is at the top of my list, it is my all time favourite!! If you like driven and strong female characters, sassy comments and magic, this series is for you !! The first book is A Court of Thorns and Roses, but I definitely enjoyed the second book more! 5/5 star rating!

    2. Song of The Current by Sarah Tolcser

This is my second favourite series !! This series is what inspired to me to start writing so it had to be on this list! Sarah has written such powerful characters and the storyline for both books was just fantastic ! If you like fantasy novels with magic and gods this would be perfect for you!

3. To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han

One of the non-fantasy novels on this list! It was such a cute and romantic contemporary! I read all three books within a week and a bit and I couldn’t recommend it enough! The characters were so relatable and it explored so many common issues within teenage life.

4. Anna and The French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

Okay, another contemporary novel ! This has been a favourite for quite a while and every time I’m in a rough patch I always choose to re-read this series !! They are so cute and easy to read, its definitely a good quick read! (I’ve read it 3 times and it never gets old!) Definitely recommend!!

5. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

Such an interesting read! I never really liked historical fiction that much until I read this! My friend let me borrow her copy while I was in a book slump and I zoomed through it!! It’s definitely a harder book to read and it deals with some pretty deep topics (WWII) but the way to story is portrayed is fantastic and definitely a good book to read if you are looking for something a little different!

6. Stalking Jack The Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco

This was an AWESOME novel! I usually don’t read thriller/horror-like novels but thought the whole concept was amazing, with the historical setting and true events! It is definitely a fun/puzzling read which will make you question who did what? The sassy and snarky nature between the two main characters also developed my love for the book! They were just so interesting to read about and I just definitely recommend this series! (The fourth book is coming out this year and i’m SO excited!)

7. The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken

This series was such an interesting take on a dystopian setting and was such a brilliant read! I read all the books so quickly and thought they were so amazing! The characters and plot was so creative and was written so beautifully! I recommend for anyone who likes dystopian novels and survival stories!

8. Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi

THIS !!!This book was AMAZING !! Honestly, the portrayal of the characters was just spectacular and I cried multiple times while reading this! I can’t wait for the second book to be released !! If you like fantasy with diversity and great representation, I 110% recommend this beauty!

9. Assassin’s Heart by Sarah Ahiers

This fantasy novel was really good! The plot line was super intriguing and is definitely a great read for any fantasy lovers! I haven’t read the second book but I’m planning on buying as soon as I can !! (i’m a broke girl *cries*)

10. Carve The Mark by Veronica Roth

I actually bought this and kept it on my shelf for AGES before picking it up, such a mistake!! This book ripped my heart out and made me cry just because it was such a well written story and I just connected with the characters INSTANTLY! I really need to read the second one but please please please read this if you have the chance, such a great fantasy novel!

aaaahhhh there you go!! My top ten books, which I definitely recommend!! Please let me know if you’ve read them, I’d love to chat with fellow book lovers so we can fangirl!!

Have a great day/night and thank you for reading!!
